Flyleaf is awesome. The price isn't bad either. I bought a copy and wasn't disappointed. They have a cool rocker sound with a passionate message in each song!! Every song on this EP is good. The song "cassie" is about the the girl from columbine who was asked if she believed in God and was killed because she said YES! Lead singer, Lacey, has a powerful voice! How does she do it?? If you want to sample the songs on this cd you can do so...They play a couple of songs on their website!

These guys have an awesome sound and a positive message, which is a great combination that is pretty hard to find. Their sound is similar to Evanesence but not quite as dark. Great band, great music, great buy. I can't wait till' their cd comes out.

Flyleaf is One to Watch April 8th, 2005

The first time I heard Flyleaf, I was amazed at the dark, edgy energy the music gives off. The first song I heard was "Breathe Today," an aggressive rock song with eerie intro music that could have been used in the trailers for a horror movie. Creepy but effective. It launches the song well, with Lacy's weathered vocals almost beckoning the listener to lean closer to the speakers.
With a sound like something you'd expect to hear on headbanger's ball, I was completely shocked to discover that this was a Christian group. But one good listen at the lyrics and it's undeniable that there's a message in this music. A very positive message wrapped in some dark imagery. While, for the most part, the lyrics aren’t explicit, they practically force the listener to think about the deeper meaning lying beneath the surface.
This four song EP is a nice introduction to the band. It has an almost bootlegged quality, though I don’t know if that’s intentional or not. Overall, this is just a taste of what promises to be a very promising career for this exciting new group. Definitely give serious consideration to picking this one up.

I'd give this a 5 but the newer Ep that has 2 brand new songs from the new full-length CD is way better, plus it has the music video to Breathe Today which is an awesome video! So go buy this EP (or the newer one); it's worth the 3 bucks. If you like evancescence but would rather have it not be as gothic and you want some cool chick-screaming this is the band for you!

This is a very good cd for being an EP. Their lead singer is very good, and she has a very wide voice range. This is a very good rock band.
By the way, they also have a different EP with 6 songs.

From the first time i heard 'Breathe today' i was automatically attached to their music. I mean.. their guitars are so deep and aggressive.. even though simple in their playing.. their songs are so filled up as female front lead vocalist Lacey sings out inspiring lyrics and sweet screams that balance their music and make them different from other bands! Awesome set of songs on this EP!
