A must get February 5th, 2005 Reviewer: Anonymous If you have been listening to Joel Osteen on TV, now you are able to get most of his talks in this book. It is a very encouraging book and also helps you look at life in a more positive perspective. Was this review helpful to you? smart teachings July 13th, 2005 Reviewer: Benjamin from NY Joel Osteen preaches and writes in an upbeat life affirming style in the tradition of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale only with a touch of Texas charm. His message is sound and Biblically based and I found myself being uplifted and inspired by his book. I turned to the scriptures that he uses as examples and read them again. Some of what he writes may seem at first to be obvious and even superficial but as you read gradually the positive message begins to get through and you see that in fact while couched in simple language and examples that anyone can understand there is real depth here.
