This is such a fun cd, its great!!! This is Toby Mac's first solo project coming off his long career with DC Talk. He takes his love for rap (which was evident during his work with DC Talk) and ads some rock guitar and there you have it, a great cd. This is different from a lot of what DC Talk did so don't go listening to it for a DC Talk sound, because this is very different, but it is still a fun cd to own.

I got this CD for my Birthday and I have enjoyed it ever since. The message in Yours and Momentum show that if you give yourself to God he can really use you.
Amazing CD

TobyMac is one of the most talented hip hop artists in the field, and being Christian only makes his music more awesome. This band has rifts that rip through every genre of musical styles, and he constantly refers to the Word in all he sings about. This band is off da hook!

This is a great CD!!! This CD is the first solo CD from tobymac, and it rocks!! His styles vary from hard rock songs like "Yours" and "Momentum" to laughable songs like "Toby's Mac" and "Triple Skinny" to serious songs like "Do you know" and "Love is in the House" An all around awesome CD!!! I belive this CD has given toby the Momentum he needs to continue his career. If you like this CD, don't forget to buy his new CD "Welcome to Diverse City" on October 5th

I thought I had heard brilliant records before picking up Momentum. I suppose I was wrong. This record redefines "brilliant" with seamless transitions from track to track, and incredible sound. The glory of the sound mixing of songs in this CD makes it stand out from the majority of music. tobymac has also taken a couple vintage songs and turned them into hip-hoppish masterpieces. There's also a nice surprise of Kirk Franklin making an appearance in "J Train". I would say the only slightly boring songs on the album would be "Momentum", "Wonderin' Why" and "Somebody's Watchin'", although these aren't difficult to listen to. Overall a most excellent CD that is a must have in every music lover's collection.

Toby's first solo cd does not disappoint. It was in my rotation for at least 2 years before I even stopped listening for long periods of time. This dude just has such an amazing voice and the production is top notch.
