I think I first learned of Jadon Lavik from an e-card I was sent to me. I listened to the songs and was anticipating getting the album. To hold me over until I bought it, I continued to listen to the songs that the e-card had.
So, I bought the album and I really like this guy. The music is kind of mellow -- the only song that is really an "upbeat" song is track number one: Following You. The others are more laid back and graceful, but they still pack a strong punch. Whenever I want to listen to more easy music that isn't exactly praise & worship music, more times than none I'll put this in my CD player.
Great CD.

Jadon Lavik's debut album isn't anything spectacular, but it's still pretty good. I love his first single, "Following You," which is still probably my favorite song on the album. It's upbeat and will get you singing along with Jadon. It's somewhat pop sounding, but it's got a great acoustic guitar sound as well. "Searching" is another one of my favorites. Jadon shows off his strong voice in this one. He really belts out the chorus! My mom really likes "Saved by Grace", as do I. It's a slower song with beautiful strings added into the mix. "Moving on Faith" is also a good song. It's also a slower song, talking about acting on faith alone, despite what the world is doing or saying. He ends the record with "Nothing But the Blood," which features guitar great Phil Keaggy. Jadon's voice is soft and soothing, as are the guitar parts and solos.

I just can't say enough about this new artist , the song "What If" is the most awesome christian song I have ever heard. His voice is so smooth. I noticed that he came from Saddleback Church in California which I am about 99.9% certain is the church home of Rick Warren who wrote "The Purpose Driven Life" . Hummmmmmmm , if birds of a feather is true then you can imagine what an awesome musical experience you are in for. You will LOVE this guy. He so totally wraps it all up on this CD. I would buy one for everybody if I could , just so they could experience the magic that is Jadon Lavik. ROCK ON JADON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much success to you!!
