Try combines Bebo Norman's intimate songwriting with a new musical territory, working for the first time with producers Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, City On A Hill series) and Matt Bronleewe (Michael W. Smith, Natalie Imbruglia, Michael Tait).
Norman says, 'I've never been as excited about one of my records as I am about Try, and the reason is simple?I think I've rediscovered the joy of songwriting with this new project. The songs are very simple, very straightforward, and more than ever, at the heart of where God has me right this minute in this life that I feel so blessed to live.?
Norman's lyrics continue to pull from his own life experiences, as his sincerity is revealed throughout each song. Described by the producers as 'intellectually organic,? this album incorporates well-thought-out instrumentation, including mandolins, dobro and steel guitar.

Bebo Norman - Myself When I Am Real

Bebo Norman is an amazing guitarist and has a wonderful voice. His music is very much acoustic and has a good sound to it. His songs are both slow and fast, and have very good spiritual meaning. I listen to Bebo when I need to relax and calm down. Bebo Norman is amazing.

Nice to have someone to walk in Rich Mullins footsteps. Rare to find lyrics and music that speak to an old folky like me. If you love great acoustic guitar (I'm a finger-picker myself) and lyrics to make you think, give Bebo a listen. Hard to find a better combination.

This album combines some of the most compelling lyrics I've heard with music that will leave you humming. The vocals are amazing, and the words go deep. I can't say enough wonderful things about this CD! Bebo is awesome!

I started listening to Bebo Norman this year, and he is such an incredible singer, musician, and songwriter. So many of his songs hit home, and I love listening to him. I would suggest him to everyone!

Been a Bebo Norman fan for 4-5 years. His music and lyrics show where is he right now in life emotionally and spiritually. He is truly not afraid to show a piece of his heart through his music. Awesomely accoustic, with a smooth blend of percussion, keyboard and a backup singer who blends like one voice with Bebo's voice.

This is the best Bebo cd EVER!! It's not the style of music that you'd expect from him on some songs, but there's at least one I can remember off the top of my head that just him and his gee-tar :) Great cd!

WOW!!! Bebo has really put everything into this CD, I have them all, however, I am so spirit filled with these new songs it is unbelievable.
What a wonderful CD to listen to on your way to work. WOW!!!
