Try combines Bebo Norman's intimate songwriting with a new musical territory, working for the first time with producers Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, City On A Hill series) and Matt Bronleewe (Michael W. Smith, Natalie Imbruglia, Michael Tait).
Norman says, 'I've never been as excited about one of my records as I am about Try, and the reason is simple?I think I've rediscovered the joy of songwriting with this new project. The songs are very simple, very straightforward, and more than ever, at the heart of where God has me right this minute in this life that I feel so blessed to live.?

i've heard people raving about this bebo norman guy, so i went ahead and bought his cd. i wanted very bad to see why my friends loved him so much, but i failed to see it.
the only track that truly stood out to me was 'borrow mine', and that's track 11. the end of the cd. not much of a statement.

Try is one of the best releases in a long while for the Christian music scene. Excellent musicianship with guests from Jars Of Clay in the studio band! Has the best of Bebo's older material with the hope of a new day and a bright future. Some of his most vertical lyrics. He has matured as a songwriter and musician.

Bebo Norman returns to the sound he had on his CD "Ten Thousand Days." On Try, Bebo creates a perfect combination of acoustic guitar and wonderful vocals mixed with amazing harmonies. The lyrics are poignant and revealing. Bebo allows the listener to see his struggles and triumphs through his music. If you are looking for a quality CD featuring superb lyrics, vocals, and acoustic guitar, look no further than Bebo Norman's CD "Try". I am so glad that I have purchased this Cd. All the songs in here are truly wonderful and magnificent. My favorite song in the album thus far is "borrow mine", lyrically it is such a moving, deep, hopeful, and encouraging song. It speaks of Bebo Norman's talent and gift as a lyricist. Each word in this song are so powerful because it speaks of hope and never giving up. In one part of the song, he says, "when you are weak, unable to speak, you are not alone, the God who has save us, will never forsake us, is coming to take us, take us to our home." Though I found this song wonderful, I also found this song sad at the same time. In order to understand this, you will have to listen to the song in its entirely. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Incredible. This is Bebo's best album BY FAR. I give it four stars out of four. Lyrics and arrangements are awesome. Every song on this CD is a "keeper." I recommend it highly. Tom

I've been a fan of Bebo for a while now, and just recently, I saw him on tour with Jason Morant and Bethany Dillion. Two nights later, I purchased this CD. It is the best material I've heard from him. You can tell that the world events influence his writings and that truly reflects his relationship with his Creator. My personal favourite track on "Try" is "Drifting." The choice of lyrics just blows my mind. He is quite possibly the best songwriter that's come along in a long time. Who else can capture the feelings of your heart in ways that even you can't? That is what Bebo does on this album.

I was introduced to Bebo's music by a friend about five years ago and I haven't stopped listening to him since...a anxiously await each new album and I am never disappointed. His music can be enjoyed in any setting, given any mood.

I had never really listened to Bebo Norman until this CD, and now I'm hooked. Starting on the first track Bebo really shows his gift. I love this Cd for it really focuses the attention on our God. Disappear is my favorite track, a wonderful expression of the conflict of self versus humilty and letting God take over. A great CD!!
