Since his debut record in 1997, Fernando Ortega's songwriting has become a more muscular and aggressive experience with each project. With this self-titled album, Fernando now brings to the forefront his best music yet to date, with a collection of songs that are more than just that. They are an album providing an introspective journey through Fernando's eyes.

I have loved each Fernando CD immensely. Home is probably my all around favorite if it is even possible to choose. I'm hoping this one is even better!

A Certain Winner

Fernando Ortega changed the way I listen to music, and more specifically Christian music. I heard the album 'Home' after finding it in a friends collection and the next day I went out and bought every other CD Fernando had recorded. His voice is soft and subtle yet full at the same time. He always chooses the most soothing hymns for his recordings to add to the great songs that he writes for his albums as well. He hasn't put out a bad album yet, and I'm positive after listening to the 30 sec clips on this site that this one will be one of his greatest. Do yourself a favor and buy any of his albums...especially this one. By the way, his live concerts are amazing

We are going to be playing a song from Fernando's HOME CD - called
A Prayer for Home
for the Groom and his mother to dance to at the reception - however now - I realize it would have been great at the ceremony to play or to have someone sing! It's just beautiful!!!!
I love you Fernando!

THE LORD BLESSES FERNANDO AGAIN!!!!

I haven't received my copy of the album and DVD yet, but I listened to each of the clips from the new album, and oh my goodness...it sounds so wonderful!!! I own just about every Fernando album he's cut to date, and have also seen him in concert once with Amy Grant (Amy wasn't bad, but Fernando was the real treat)!!! I can't wait to settle into the Fall and Winter months with my new Fernando CD. It was the Fall of 2000 that I was first introduced to him, although I recall another cut he did with Promisekeepers several years ago, but I didn't know who it was at the time. Anyways, each Fall since, I have bought Fernando's new albums, and begin my Fall/Winter months with his music. I love the Home and Storm albums, but I love all of the others as well. This one is surely going to be a favorite as well! God bless you all and as Fernando says...The Lord is With You!!!!!

Definitely another hit! I loved the bass lines on some of the tracks in this album, almost a swing/ska meets gospel sound! and the old stand-by hymms that sound so refreshing. Enjoy this album!

Fernando, along with his writing team John Andrew Schreiner and Elaine Rubenstein , has done it again. This CD is a beautiful piece of work that blends different styles to make an incredible body of work. This is a deep set that is also fun. Well done my friend, well done.

Fernando's newest album is another Outstanding collection of songs.
Every one of them speaks to me in some way. The arrangements are always appropiate for the song. There is a great variety of music, from old hymns to edgy contemporary numbers. You cannot go wrong with this album. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
