In the same uncompromising style of Jesus Freaks, bestselling authors Michael Tait and TobyMac of dc Talk now urge readers to take their stand for America's future--by examining our past. Using unforgettable accounts of both famous and little-known Americans, Under God examines the stories of men and women who forged our nation. Against these, they pair the dark side of America's legacy--racism, slavery, injustice--in order that a new generation might seek God's face and avoid repeating sins of the past. The authors draw on the resources of WallBuilders, a national organization that distributes historical, legal, and statistical information and helps citizens become active in their communities. 384 pages.

TobyMac and Michael Tait have done it again. And this time, they did the impossible....made history interesting. I'm 16 years old, and I could not put this book down. It's harsh reality and inspiring stories really open your eyes to how you can make a positive difference in the world.
I HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone.

From their days in dcTalk they lead lives in the spotlight. They handled pressure by going to God. These two men are role models to thousands of teens including myself.

God Inspired Book

From their days together in dctalk to their solo hits, these Godly men have hade positive impacts and influences on both the music industry and the literature that is grossly being poured into our economy. This book will be a solid showing of what these two men know is the truth of the USA and what we now as the Christians in it need to do. May God Bless all those that take the time to read this awesome God inspired Book.

Here is another great book coming from 2/3 of dc Talk...
tobyMac and Michael Tait have joined forces again and have produced this enlightening book about our past. I am so looking forward to read it. Racism and inequality are horrible things and these two known figures in the christian music industry have always been against it.
This is definately an awesome read...

History Made Interesting
October 29, 2004
Reviewer:

If you liked any of DC Talk's Jesus Freaks books, you might as well not read any reviews because you will like this one as well. It's in the familiar style of writing and has the interesting stories of the past. However, like their previous books, it gets very repetitive with all the stories having the same theme and concept. It was easy to start, but hard to finish because of this. However, overall this was a great history book made interesting. I wish it could answer some of the most asked questions about Christians and how they used slaves. Maybe in a sequel...

Under God- a Must Read ******

Excellent history of the US. Not only do we read uplifting stories, but the ugly part of our history is included.
I recommend this book to anyone wanting to understand the history of this country and why God is so important to us all.
