Amazing

Shawn Mcdonald is simply an amazing musician. His sound is very inovative and compelling. When I first listened to his album I could not stop listening to it. It was in my car stereo for nearly 2 months straight. You will be truelly blessed by Shawn's music and the message that is contained within it.

I recently heard "Gravity" from Shawn McDonald, and I was blown away! I was just thinking, "Where have I been? How have I not heard any of his stuff before?" I'd heard the name, but had no idea what he sounded like. He has a great voice. It's very...kind of soulful, and gravelly. Hard to describe, but I love it. His songs are very acoustic sounding with lots of guitar. He's also got a crazy testimony. Everybody should check that out at his website! You can feel the passion and sincerity in his vocals, especially once you know where he's coming from. Great CD!

Shawn is an amazing guitarist and vocalist. I have had the opportunity to lead worship with him at some Young Life events and is a great guy. The combination of his deep, extremely unique voice and simple guitar riffs gives you the ability to just sit back and worship Christ. His music is amazing, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We saw shawn in concert, not knowing what to expect, and loved him. We bought this CD later, and it's definetly a favorite. He has a great voice, unique sound, and each song is real, heartfelt, and brings you to the presence of God. Cant listen to it enough. looking forward to more by shawn.

Simply Amazing

The cd is a daily rotaion in my car since January! My buddy didn't tell me who was playing in Seattle, but it turned out he was at the Shawn Mc Donald Live in Seattle concert! I can hear him on the cd ... The lyrics within every song just floor me. I listen to the cd on my drive to work and takes me a new level. I just can't wait for his next album or to see him at Freedom Fest!

This is a great album. I am not one to exaggerate. I put this cd in my car two weeks ago and haven't yet tired of it. His lyrics really remind you of what an amazing God we serve. I am so thankful that there is someone out there like me who hasn't had a glistening clean life but finally gave their heart over to Christ and has true peace. This album will inspire you, and in this world we need all the help we can get.

Worthwhile purchase

I honestly bought the album only because the artist and I share the same first and last name. But wow, upon listening to this CD, anyone who is a fan of acoustic guitar with soulful vocals should own this CD. The opening track may be the best on the CD. I eagerly await his next release.

This is a great album for those new to the Christian music world. I find that a lot of Christian music sacrifices true musical genius in order to deliver the message. There is rarely an artist who can deliver a powerful message without sacrificing content for fear of not being able to crack into the secular market. This is a great album, and it encompasses up-beat, refreshing songs as well as slower songs to truly enter in. This is a good one to keep in your CD player!

Shawn McDonald is an anomaly of sorts. This guy has an unbelievable talent to play his guitar. Simply listening to the first track of this album proves straight away that though new to the large market of music, he is no newbie to songwriting. His catchy melodies and insightful lyrics will leave any listener begging for more. Standout Tracks: "Take My Hand" and "Have You Ever?"
