Product Description

For The Afters, "I Wish We All Could Win"is about living for God outside of the confines of the church in a way that is compelling and contemplative. With musical tastes from bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, U2 and even at times The Beatles, The Afters present a unique musical flare that's familiar in influence yet unique in presentation.

Good Stuff! February 20, 2005
Reviewer: from Louisville

I saw these guys in concert three days before their album released, and was surprised to find that they had it for sale! These guys really have a heart for the Lord, and have a good sound that can only get better with each song they write. A lot of their stuff is also being released to mainstream radio, so their ministry will reach far beyond their brother and sisters in Christ.

The Afters Rock!! February 9, 2005
Reviewer: Anonymous from Dallas

The songs on this CD, especially the ones from their previous CD, are amazing. The Afters really know how to do vocals next to an awesome beat. This is not your typical worship CD, because the music is loud but does not lose its message to the beats. Seriously, this band is the coolest!!

Great band! March 29, 2005
Reviewer: Kristen from USA

I saw these guys live just before the album came out. I couldn't wait to get the album! One of the first things I noticed about The Afters is that they have great melodies (and great lyrics). There are so many songs on the CD that are catchy rock songs...they'll have you singing along. Don't let the "catchy" part fool you...these boys rock too! Everybody needs to check out this new band. These guys are gonna go far!

The Afters - I Wish We All Could Win June 18, 2005
Reviewer: Kyle from Minnesota

I picked up a copy of "I Wish We All Could Win" after hearing the radio single "You" being played for about a month prior to the band's release. After giving the whole album a try, it is one of very few CDs that is constantly being played in my car. With a sound that reminds me very much of The Elms, but unique in their own way, songs like "Beautiful Love" and "Someday" really show this band's true potential. I can't wait to see what the future holds for The Afters and I am very much looking forward to a follow-up project.

After the afters June 30, 2005
Reviewer: Justin from SILSBEE TEXAS AND PROUD OF IT

Fair reviews! That's what we're all about-fair reviews.

I do not like this CD! To me lyrically it has no substance-no weightiness to it
musically-it is really just like every other rock ban -nothing to set it apart from all the rest.
Vocally, it's alittle to high-pitch for me to get in to.

good but not great July 10, 2005
Reviewer: josh from georgia

I picked up this cd to review for my church newsletter and was pleased with the first four songs. After those few songs, the cd falls into a monotonous circle. the lyrics, while very good and focused, are lacking in depth. Overall this cd has some strong points but it also has several dull points.

Awesome July 19, 2005

I got this album before it was even out on the market and it's awesome. The Afters are probably the best up and coming band on the market. The are very good all around as a band. This is an awesome album.

Nice, but lacking lyrically. August 19, 2005
Reviewer: Blake from Lamar, CO

I bought this CD last week, and after listening to it, I was almost worried that I had wasted my money after a CD that I would never listen to. I found the lyrics to be very shallow and repetitive. The rhyme schemes were also extremely inconsistant. However, the lead singer of most of the songs has somewhat of a unique voice (it reminds me of the lead singer from 'Train') and the music really caught my attention most. I really like the high-fret guitar chords in 'I'll Be There'. Overall, I give this CD a 3, because of its great composition, but lacking lyrics.
