Product Description

When one talks about rock & roll or any of the sub genres involved, it's generally in terms of crunching guitars and more of an attitude than most other forms of musical communication.

In the case of members of Arkansas' The Wedding, it's all of the above with added punk infectiousness, emo refrains and hardcore intensity blended in. This music is what the The Wedding have been distributing in one form or another for the better part of the last half-decade and one that's found a connection in its national debut disc on Rambler Records.

Includes the top requested and # 1 song 'Move This City? along with the militant instrumentation of 'Wake the Regiment? and the sacrifice centered 'Price for Love?. This album is full of high energy songs that deal with perseverance, healing, forgiveness and self-esteem.

Odd name but good music! April 16, 2005
Reviewer: Anonymous from Canada

Never would've heard of them if it wasn't for Bleach's web site or JFH. As soon as I hear thier demo tracks, I went out and bought it immediately! All of the songs grabbed my attention. It's a CD that's diverse from anything I've heard from the artists I like. A little bit of that screaming in most of the songs for emphasis but I like it.

My personal favorite song, and probably is for anybody facing Christian adversities, is "Song for the Broken". I seriously hope that you consider buying this CD!

Okay, I don't have the full CD from The Wedding, bubt I have their EP and it is awesome! Every song on the CD is really good. The most amazing thing is that these guys are only like between the ages of 18-20. Judging from their EP, I say that this CD is going to be amazing!

keep BOTH eyes open for these guys in the future October 23, 2005
Reviewer: David from Chi Town

First of all, I just want to say that this is my favorite CD of all time. And that is coming from one of the biggest Christian rock fans on the planet. I've never gotten a CD like this one where every song is not only great, but AMAZING. It seems like I have a new favorite song off this CD every week. There's something special about EVERY song. The Wedding combines punk, emo, hardcore, & indie perfectly. Think Kids in the Way meets Hawk Nelson meets Dashboard Confessional meets The Rocket Summer. I get the overall punk sound that I love from punk bands from Hawk Nelson to MxPx, the passionate emo vocals that I love from emo bands like Dashboard Confessional & Further Seems Forever, the piano that I love from indie artists like The Rocket Summer, and I even get some background screams like you’d here from Kids in the Way, Skillet or Pillar. The myspace.com bio for The Wedding says that they are an indie punk band with some emo influences and some hardcore influences.

It starts off with a great punk ballad called "Morning Air." When I first heard this song all the way through, it pretty much instantly became one of my favorite songs ever. The bridge at the end makes me want to cry, sing at the top of my lungs, and headbang all at the same time. I still think it's one of the most amazing climaxes of any song I've ever heard. "Move this City," But after I heard the rest of the CD, this song barely makes my top 5 favorite songs. This CD is just that good. This album packs a ton of emotion in every song and you are going to want to stand up and belt out every word at the top of your lungs.

Some of the more enthusiastic punk anthems are "Joyride," "479HxC (Through the Night)," & "Wake the Regiment." But they all stand out as seperate masterpieces. "Joyride" is more of a pop/punk sing along, "Through the Night" is more of a headbanging, tap your foot to the great beat kind of song, & "Wake the Regiment" is more of a hardcore punk song with a little more angst in the vocals and some hardcore screams in the background.

And then you also have softer emo ballads like "Price for Love" & "But a Breath" (feat. Matt Theissen from Relient K). "Price for Love" is an amazing song about trying to tell someone about Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and how it offers us salvation. It still has the electric guitars and it finishes off with an amazing bridge in the end that might even be better than the bridge to finish off "Morning Air." It might even be my favorite part of the whole CD. On the other hand, "But a Breath" is just a soft emo ballad all the way through. It's just vocals and piano. And the piano sounds awesome. It's an amazing song with a great message: "Life is but a breath. Don't waste it."

And then you also have the in between kind of songs. The vocals are still like emo ballads but the music still has that hardcore punk edge to it. "One Eye Open" is one of these songs. I think this might be my favorite overall song on the CD. The vocals seem the most passionate on this song. It’s everything that a great rock ballad should be. "Move this City" is another one of these songs. It has a great catchy chorus with excellent background vocals. It's a great one to sing along to and rock out to. "This Time I'm Leaving" starts off with a sweet upbeat punk intro and then gradually turns into a great ballad. This is probably my 2nd favorite song on the CD. This one just seems to have all the intangibles. It’s hard to describe. "Song for the Broken" is another great punk ballad that is great to sing along to. Last but definitely not least is probably my third favorite song, “Water Under the Bridge.” It starts off with an amazing piano intro and then busts into the drums and the electric guitar, but you can still hear the piano still going in the background. It’s probably my favorite intro to any song ever. Once the vocals come in, it becomes another great punk ballad. The lead singer, Kevin Keihn, sings the chorus with so much passion and energy. Kevin Keihn has such an amazing voice on the whole CD and it’s packed with so much raw energy and emotion. Talking about it just doesn’t do it justice. You have to hear these guys for yourself. The album is such a thrill to listen to every time. It never gets old. Get your hands on this CD ASAP. You won’t regret it.

This Album Rocks! May 26, 2005
Reviewer: Phil from Mid-Missouri

In a time that consumers are skeptical on buying new albums because they are too short and only one or two good songs that cost way too much, these Arkansas natives are able to create a masterpiece. This CD is a must have for any rock music fan, or simply put any fan of music. Move This City is a beautiful song and isn't the only one that deserves radio play. A very good CD that delivers a postive message and an even better music delivery than most CD's today.

One of 2005's best albums. Plus it features Matt Theisson of Relient K, so it can't be that bad. Believe me, you will be sorry when you get this CD and relize, "Why didn't I buy this sooner."

Reviewer: James from

this cd is the debut from the wedding. it is an awesome song because of the style, the punk beats but rock guitar and bass. the singer backs it all up with a great voice. you can tell that this is a debut but it is still a cd to get. and then look forward to the future of this band.
