Big Daddy Weave hit the national scene with a bang! They became the BEST SELLING NEW ARTIST at Christian Retail in 2002 with the release of "One And Only,"received numerous honors and accolades, and since then have garnered FOUR TOP 3 RADIO SINGLES between their two albums. While all of these things brought recognition to the band, their lives were turned upside down the summer of 2004- in both good and hard ways. Hurricane Ivan swept across the East Coast and demolished the band's offices and left their homes and communities devastated. Through this difficult time, Big Daddy Weave banded together and met with Jesus in a whole new way as their families were expanding and sharing the joys of new life in the midst of much loss. I highly recomment anything from BDW. They're an awesome group of Christ filled men who have been truly blessed with the talent of music. Their music is great, it's straightforward, & it has the ultimate message, HIS message. I'm preordering my copy now & you should too!

Big Daddy Weave was DEFINETELY made to make music

Big Daddy Weave have always been a favorite of mine, ever since one of my friends introduced them to me with their album, "Fields of Grace". Their latest release, "What I Was Made For", has been getting some flack in critics' circles for the inclusin of a 5-minutes track of silence at the end of the CD for a quiet time reflection on God. I personally think that one thing Christians miss a lot is taking time to LISTEN to God speak rather than talking to Him, and I find this a healthy reminder of that fact. On "What I Was Made For", the Weavers and co. continue to serve up some worshipful and rocking tracks. The colaboration with BarlowGirl is an amazing blend of worship and rock and just plain talent and passion. This CD is put together very well, the songs flowing together well and leading up to the ultimate "Quiet Time" at the end. Missing from this CD is much of the brass instruments that I so enjoyed on the previous albums, but they are so skilfully replaced by strings that I hardly noticed after a couple songs. I recommend it completely!

"What I Was Made For" is an awesome song.
These guys really have a heart for worship, and it is what they were made for .
They have really done awesome this time.

Awesome God-focused rock band...

I've seen these guys in concert and got to meet and pray with them. They are an awesome praise band and truly back up what they sing and believe in through their lives. Plus, they can rock!!

These guys can really touch a person with their songs. The love of God really flows out of their music. Thier duo with the Barlow Girls was excellent. This CD should be at the top of the charts for a long time.

This is the first BDW CD I've purchased, and I'm so glad I got it. I ordered it after hearing "You're Worthy of My Praise" on the radio and not being able to get the song out of my head! This CD is solid, musically and lyrically.

These fellas have a heart for worship. You could just sit and read the lyrics and not even listen to the cd and lift your hands praising God. If you have a sordid past, What I Was Made For is your cd of redemption remembrance. Wow, wow, wow. God is so much more than good.

I received the cd . It is awesome!!! I am ordering another one for my boyfriend. I saw Big Daddy Weave in concert at Charleston, WV this March -2006.They were awesome in person also. Great uplifting praise and worship group and music.
