A Follow-Up That Doesn

I have been anticipating this album for well over a year - before it was even announced. "Happy" by Matthew West was - and still is - an integral part of my music collection.
After hearing "Next Thing You Know" many times on the radio before the album was released, I was pumped. Finally, on the glorious day in which I received a package from musichristian.com, I tore it open and thrust the cd into my cd player. Instantly, I was taken to a world of brilliant musical bliss.
The apt theme of the album, history, is touching. I believe that we all have things that we are not proud of in our pasts, but it is good to be reminded that all of those bad memories are merely history. We are to live in the present, remembering the lessons learned from the past and preparing ourselves for the future.
Usually, I have a favorite song from each album I listen to that is ever-changing. I'll love one song for a whlie, then fall in love with another and declare that as my favorite. However, now, my favorite song off of "History" is Matt's beatiful love song, "The Day Before You." It speaks of the time before he met his wife, Emily, and how he had all but given up on his search for the one - till he met Emily. Everything then changed.
My words don't do any justice to this, or any of the songs, so I'll just leave you with this command: buy the cd. Like it. Love it. Share it. You can thank me later.

This CD is awesome he goes throughout life talking about past present and future thing with a realness and uniquness
vocally he's awesome sound kinda of like john mayer
lyrically-exceptional
muiscally-pop/rock with piano awesome with some sonic touches
a must have if you like the 1st one!

This is an excellent cd...from the gorgeous, convicting lyrics to the beautiful voice and melodies, every song is top notch. If you loved Matthew the first time, you're guaranteed to love him even more this time!

What a great album this turned out to be. His first CD, "Happy", was great, but "History" just takes Matthew West to a whole new level. His message continues to move me and his passion for music is undaunting. The songs "History", "Only Grace", and "I Know You're There" are my favorite, but the entire album is great.

This is an awesome follow-up to his first CD "Happy". He is amazing as always and his cds have made it into my list of artists that continually play on my laptop!! His lyrics and guitar rhythms are catchy and quick to draw you in.

I love this cd. I love the songs on this cd. Matthew West did an awesome job when he made this cd. I take it to work with me and just sit there and listen to it all day and I just find that I connect with the words of the songs. I would recommend this cd to everyone I know.

Okay. I really enjoyed his Happy CD. And though I find their are less songs that I can really get up and dance like a dork to, there are more songs that make you think. So, get this CD, sit down, listen to and read the lyrics. You won't regret it.

Matthew West has put out another AWESOME cd. The song "History" is aweomse. also in the cd pamphlet that comes with the cd, it shows some of Matthew's childhood things and why he likes ice cream. and did you know he at one point was thought to be a good baseball player. I have absolutely enjoyed this cd and recommend it to anyone, anytime, anywhere

What an awesome collection! I bought it just for "Next thing you know" but soon fell in love with all the songs. I have played it over and over in my car during my daily commute and love it more each time I hear it as I learn more of the lyrics and can sing along.
