If you like Underoaths first or second CD, or From Autumn to Ashes but want something christian, As Cities Burn is the way to go. Chaotic and harmonic all bundled up into one, they pull off a sound all to themselves. I own many emo/punk/hardcore christian cds and this one quickly became my favorite.

I stumbled accross As Cities Burn at a concert and was captivated by the intensity of their lyrics. The CD did not disappoint. Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest paints a beautiful picture of the grave we are give even though we are terribly undeserving. The song the Widow is incredibly moving, and the last line is a great theme of the record "and I beleive there is something here to be learnt of grace cause I cant help love you, no I cant help love you... even with a heart that breaks like the promises that you made..." Its a great record, if your a fan of the emo/screamo/hardcore stuff this is essential to your collection!!

This album has everything you could ask for! As Cities Burn really are able to show their musical abilities from this album. Every song on here is great. But "Bloodsucker Pt. 2" and "Thus from My Lips, By Yours, My Sin Is Purged" stand out to me as the best tracks. I recommend it 100%!!!

This is a very good album for lover of hardcore, screamo and metal... it has powerful beats. My favorite song: Terrible! How Terrible For The Great City!
