Product Description

Singer-songwriter David Crowder has been steeped in student ministry and passionate worship for several years as the Music and Arts Pastor at University Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. Crowder has connected with peers nationwide, gaining a major grassroots support system via an appearance on the top-selling Passion release The Road To One Day, and most recently as a guest on the Passion Experience Tour. Now a large and growing audience is eager for the release of David Crowder Band's sixsteprecords debut, Can You Hear Us?

Complete with a creative and personable crew, including an electronic violinist - DJ, David Crowder Band offers a blend of music that is simultaneously intellectual and heartfelt, at home in anyone's collection which may include Dave Matthews Band or Caedmon's Call. David Crowder's warm and confident voice sounds assuredly poetic on the instantly memorable sing-along "Thank You For Hearing Me" and suitably progressive along the radio-friendly edge of "Our Love Is Loud." Soaring melodies, lyrical insight and dynamic musical fields planted with soft and stacked guitar, vivid violins and modern rock rhythms all make David Crowder Band's Can You Hear Us? worth an excited listen.

So good July 16, 2004
Reviewer: Eric from Texas

This band has so much talent and SUCH a variety of music. They can switch the turntable on, drop a sweet beat and jam, or sing the most incredible praise and worship music ever. This cd is a pretty mellow listening cd, God of Wrath gets pretty pumped up, but its Great music for any occasion.

Must have worship cd for any collection September 21, 2004
Reviewer: Jesse from Sacramento

With a very unique sound, the David Crowder Band stands alone with their passionate, sincere worship to God. Truely heartfelt, truely upbeat with well done remakes of traditional hymns along with their new songs. "Can You Hear Us" should be heard by everyone.

Best CD March 8, 2005
Reviewer: Anonymous from

This CD is my personal favorite from this great band. The mix of slow songs and upbeat praise songs is great. "Obsession" is a must. The band combines a little of everything to create the perfect worship session ever! They use turntables, an electric violin, and the normal stuff like electric guitars, acoustic guitars, drums, keys, bass, and great vocals and poetic lyrics that put you in a trance! This is the finest by the absolute best! A must buy, but even more of a must is seeing this band in concert! They will change your life and you will never be the same!

Breakthrough for a reason. October 23, 2006

There is a reason that DCB is so big... and this album is why. This started it out for the whole worship music as cool phenomenon and DCB still knows how to do it the best.
