Demon Hunter Rocks! December 9, 2004
Reviewer: Austin from Dallas, Tejas

Demon Hunter's debut album is amazing! I just got into heavy stuff about a month before I bought their cd, and I was blown away. In my opinion they're better than all the secular bands cuz they can combine the darkness of heavy metal ("Screams of the Undead") with the melodic harmonies of an orchestra ("My Throat is an Open Grave") and spread the Christian message with some awesome lyrics. I gotta freakin wait till Christmas to get Summer of Darkness though, grrrrrrr...

Screams of the Hunters! October 21, 2004
Reviewer: Jared from Ensenada, Mexico

This is a great album. If you have Summer of Darkness because that's the first time you'd ever heard of Demon Hunter. I encourage you to get their self titled release. It's just as amazing as SOD. Infected, a very amazing song. You won't be disapointed. If anything, you'll be blown away. Check this out! Be blessed.

No Comparisons January 30, 2005
Reviewer: Kris from NC

What can I say? I love this cd so much. And I highly recommend getting it as fast as you can. I think it is every bit as good as their second album and quite possibly the best band that Christian metal has to offer.

They call this metal? July 14, 2005
Reviewer: Anonymous from Colorado

I am a huge fan of alternative/metal/hardcore and know practically ever band out there, secular and christian. It requires just as much talent to sing a screaming metal song as it is for Kelly Clarkson or Rebecca St. James to belt out a song. These guys are not talented at all. I wouldn't even consider this metal, I'd consider it emo: a band got together to make a dark album in hope that teenagers would love them, but they do not have the talent and cannot do it!

Mortal Treason is one of the best Christian metalcore bands, so check them out. Demon Hunter stinks compared to them. If you want some good hardcore that actually has talent and the band members know how to make music that doesnt stink, check out Subseven, Underoath, Dead Poetic, Anberlin, Blindside, and Project 86 just to name a few. Oh yea, and by the way, the Showdown is also a metal-wannabe band that stinks big time.

this CD has great screaming by singer Ryan Clark (ex- Training For Utopia) plus he adds melodic singing along making this a great hardcore/metal CD to have. my favorite track is I Have Seen Where It Grows. get this CD if you are a hardcore fan

Ehhhh July 15, 2005
Reviewer: Anonymous from PH, IL

Don't get me wrong--the music in this album is almost as good as DH's Summer of Darkness album...almost. But the words are harder to catch, and I think this album's a bit too short, and it just wasn't what I was expecting. But as hard-rock albums themselves go, it's not terrible either.
