Excelent Freshman Album! March 29, 2005
Reviewer: Chris from Champaign, IL

This is a terrific cd, esspecially for a first cd coming from these guys. The singing is particularly unique and has a great sound to it. Somwhere between the singing and the guitars you get lost in the sound of this cd.

this is a black market revolution June 11, 2005
Reviewer: Linda from Illinois, baby!

um... i heart anberlin. you'll like this album. i promise. their vocals are so unique... and it's a style of rock that doesn't have to be screamo to rock... and it works. it takes some elements of "classic" rock and combines it with modern and it's just incredible. period. my favorites are number 7 8 9. buy it!

One song wonder September 17, 2004
Reviewer: from Mississippi

This cd was really boring to me, it was a burden to listen to the entire thing. The only good thing it has going for it is their single, "Read Fuels," its pretty good. I dont recommend this cd, the songs have good intros, but the chorus stink.

Anberlin - Blueprints For The Black Market June 18, 2005
Reviewer: Kyle from Minnesota

Easily one of my top 10 favorite albums, "Blueprints For The Black Market" is a truly great debut CD. I bought this disc after watching the band open up for Relient K, and the energy that they perform with on stage has been convienently packed into this record. The guitar work that is shown is simple yet incredibly complex, and the vocals are what truly brings this band together. Songs likes "Cadence" and "Love Song" demonstrate the musical talent of Anberlin, and I hope these guys continue to escalate their music.

the best of Anberlin so far July 9, 2005
Reviewer: Anonymous from Lombard, IL

even though some of my friends might disagree, I found this to be the best of Anberlin's first two efforts--a CD I would consider a "nighttime driving" album that's perfect to listen to on a long quiet car ride home, or something like that. There's no real uniform feel to it--It has it's mellow and quiet moments like Naive Orleans and then its upbeat, louder parts like Ready Fuels. An all around good buy!

If you are in the market for a good cd December 20, 2006
Reviewer: Jayson from pennsylvania

This is one to purchase. Anberlin makes thier debut with a collection of song that only gets better with every listen. The sound is raw, but has a slick edge that makes it instantly catchy. Album highlights include: "Change the world(lost ones)", "Foreign Language", "Cadance", and an excellent cover of "Love Song".

How unique May 31, 2007
Reviewer: Joshua from

I saw Anberlin live for the first time when I went to see Relient K. I thought they were amazing. I was not disappointed when I bought their first album. Vocals and sound is so unique and so strong in my opinion. I suggest this album to everyone.
