The Barlow sisters are out to rock their generation with messages of faith, hope and living in God's perfect image?not MTV's. Becca, Alyssa, and Lauren Barlow are radical girls for God. While the Barlow sisters have spent the last four years honing their pop/rock performances, sisterly harmonies and poignant songwriting, Inpop band Superchic[k] has already introduced them to the world. A few years back, the two bands ran into each other at a festival. Superchic[k] was so impressed with the sisters? stand on purity that they wrote and recorded what has become one of their most popular tunes - 'Barlow Girls.? Now, the Barlow girls are ready to take the world by storm with their passion for music and leaving a mark.

BarlowGirl..AWESOME!

If you are looking for a fresh, unique and edgy Christian album you have to check out this self-titled album from the all-sister band BarlowGirl! This debut album from the new band is certainly a winner. The lyrics compliment the alternative music style perfectly to get the messages in the songs across. With tracks such as “On My Own” that tell of how we fall time-and-time again because we depend on our strength is deep but expressed in the up-beat rock fashion. Even the track “Never Alone” that opens with a piano playing fading into power chords and drums the lyrics that cry for help from God continue. Their first radio single “Harder Than the First Time” has a slight pop tinge to the rock style and yet it does not fail to share hope as the other songs. Other great tracks (such as “Average Girl” and “Clothes”) lead to the last song: “Surrender”. This track has some of the most moving lyrics: “Told me the world has yet to see/What you can do with one / That’s committed to your call./ I know of course what I should do / That I can’t hold these dreams forever./ But if I give them now to you / Will you take them Away forever? Or can I dream again?” Best of all the girls play all the instruments (some back-up instruments are played by others); from bass guitar to drums to keyboard to electric guitar. Not only that but every song was written by the three band members which can assure anyone that the songs come from their heart and are driven by what they have experienced first-hand. I highly recommend this album for you to purchase for yourself and your friends.

Ever heard the song 'Barlow Girls' by Superchick? That song was written about this band! These girls are so awesome!! They are all sisters and they love to rock and show their love for Christ! Their cd is always in my player and is one of the few that I can listen to without skipping songs!! 'Never Alone' sounds like the group Evanescence and has a beautiful sound, as well as a great beat! I recommend this cd for anyone.... some songs are slower and some are really energetic! There is a song for everyone on this cd!! Enjoy!

Where to begin.....

Wow, this CD is awesome! As others have stated, this is cd you can listen to and not have to skip any tracks. One of the more notable tracks include "Never Alone", a mix of guitar/piano/drums and the great vocals of the sisters to make a wonderful song about God's presence. It's what first attracted me to the Barlow Girl scene. These three sisters really know how to rock, and they really love God. What more could you ask for in a Christian rock band? Every song if full of great messages that would apeal to anyone. I know they minister to me everytime I pop the disc in and push that play button. I would recommend this CD to anyone. So go ahead....go out and get yourself a copy. And if you like it, maybe get a copy for your friend or loved one. You won't be dissapointed.

Not your average group

After singing "Never Alone" as a duet with a girl at my church, I started listening to the BarlowGirl CD. At surface level, it seems pretty average--nice songs, good singing--but when you start listening to the lyrics, you realize that it's personal. They really believe this stuff! That's what makes this album different. These sisters are genuine.
