Modern and Edgy (not just Veggies!) August 20, 2004
Reviewer: Trayce from Texas!!!!!!!

If you like modern rock and found the original Veggie Tales songs charming, this is the perfect album for you. Some of the biggest names in Christian music today, including the Newsboys, Rebecca St James, Steven Curtis Chapman (Stevenson), and Audio Adrenaline, put their own humorous (and sometimes crazy) spins on some of the most-loved songs from the Veggie Tales canon. This is not only for your younger brother it’s a compilation of various artists singing just plain ole goofy songs with clean lyrics (which is rare these days)! It begins with Rebecca St James’ unique version of the theme song with a rock edge which leads to a upbeat take on the song “Love My Lips” redone by Steven Curtis Chapman and his son. Others that stand out are “In the Belly of a Whale” from Jonah: The Movie which was taken on by the Newsboys, with hilarious lyrics and a great sound this is a good track as well as the comical “I’m So Blue” that is overflowing with the charisma Paul Colman offers. Audio Adrenaline’s interesting take on “The Hairbrush Song” definitely contrasts the original except both offer the “drama”. The only drops in the upbeat tracks is Superchic[k[‘s “Water Buffalo” and TAIT’s “His Cheeseburger”, they are simply exceptional compared to the other tracks. All in all this is a great album that I highly recommend for kids, teens and adults alike! Get it here at musichristian.com

Veggie Rock Indeed July 16, 2004
Reviewer: Daniel from Kingsport, TN

For anyone who absolutely loves Veggie Tale songs, this album is a must buy. The big dissapointment of the cd comes in the form of the Veggie Tales theme song, which is sung by Rebecca St. James. I don't know why, but her voice just does not seem to fit the song at all. The rest of the songs are, for the most part, very well done, with the best examples coming from Relient K, Newsboys, and the OC Supertones. "If you like to waltz with tomatoes" at all, then this cd is definitely for you.

Very fun to own! August 11, 2004
Reviewer: Brandi from Texas

If you are any kind of fan of Veggie Tales, this CD is a must have! It is a lot of fun to turn up the volume and act as a kid again. I love how the Christian artists came together and put their own touch on some of Veggie Tales' best songs!

It Wasn August 9, 2004
Reviewer: Kristin from USA

I was very excited about this CD. I had heard that VeggieTales songs were being recorded by some of the best in the CCM business. Well, I checked it out, and I'm not too impressed. The best song on the CD by far is "Stand" by Skillet, and I enjoyed the Water Buffalo Song, His Cheeseburger, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, and Promised Land. However I had to skip the first song because I couldn't take the Rebecca St. James version of the theme song. Some of the songs are overdone... some underdone... While you might enjoy the CD, I would see if you can check it out online or at your local library before you buy it.

Fun cd August 10, 2004
Reviewer: Austin from USA

My sis got this cd and I thought it would just be all the veggie songs again. I was surprised to find some of my favorites bands on the cd though. Listening to superchick sing the water buffalo song never gets old.

Just what I expected... and more! August 11, 2004
Reviewer: Anonymous from Oklahoma

The Christian artists who spin these songs into their own, are the best they could have picked for the job. From the pop music of Stevenson to the hard rock of Skillet, this cd is great for fans of any music!

Fun! August 13, 2004
Reviewer: from Holland

It's a very funny album. I mean: funny songs! Haha. The album is cool, but there's one song on it that's excellent, I think that's why this one is at #1... Rebecca's version of the themesong!!! It rocks, very very cool song.
