Underoath's new vocals meld into what they have been evolving to become for years: a cleaner, more direct, heavy rock style avoiding any hardcore clich鳠they might have previously garnered. And with their innovative keyboard / electronic heavy base for the dynamic 10 song release, it's hard to imagine anyone penning Underoath with clich鳠at all. Still, fans of the previously metal-driven band may be in for a shock as catchy choruses and hooks dominate this release.

This is one of the best screamo albums that has come out this year so far. The band has changed from an all screaming band to more melodic singing band. I recommend this to anyone who likes emo you won't be dissapointed.

Definitely Worth Chasing

This is an amazing album. UnderOath has done a great job on this one. Stepping back from just being "hardcore" and getting themselves out in the mainstream and sending their message to thousands of kids, it's great. I'm proud of the band making this name for themselves. Although, I'm sure they would give the glory to God. Very amazing band. Still fans of hardcore will like this CD. Very catchy and awesome battleing between vocalists. Check it out.

This is some of the best screamo i've heard. The combination of the screaming and the more emo vocals is awesome. The album is much better than their first release. The song "Reinventing Your Exit" is my favorite song this year.

Emotive Rock fans, this is it!

Emotive Rock (ee mo-tiv): emotionally motivated rock, with elements of sudden time changes and sporatic emotions, from sings to screams, from mellow to sudden heavier melodies./ see underoath- this album is definitely showing off the talents of this band! putting alot of thought into it, they really put real life into it blending spiritual as well as emotional part of life. Definitely rocks, however my favorite from the album would have to be the more mellow track "Some will seek forgiveness, Others Escape". Beautifully emo!

underOATH started out as a black metal band back on their debut album, but started experimenting with new sounds and that got them to this hardcore music. it starts out with a few screams here and there on the song called It's Dangerous Business Walking out Your Front Door, and some chore singing "I AM DROWNING IN MY SLEEP" and then a guitar starts up and Spencer Chamberlain starts screaming

Underoath did rock, but their new album, "They Are Only Chasing Safety," has a wonderful new sound. It is a totally new band, it sounds modern, and more emo, but still has the screaming, its awesome! Really good cd, 10/10 buy it now!
