Though only a teenager, Velasquez's voice is remarkably mature because she's been recording and on stage since she was only 10. (She's even performed at the White House!) Her wide-ranging vocal styles allow her to comfortably sing along to everything from the pop melodies of "Baptize Me,"to the lush orchestration of "On My Knees,"to the smooth R&B sounds of "Shelter."This is her debut album.

Beautiful Album

By now, Jaci's "On My Knees" is one of the songs that have made her career. But as for the rest of the CD, it is great as well. From the upbeat "We Can Make a Difference" to the ballad-esqe "Flower in the Rain" Jaci has proven that she is here to stay, even at this young age, this is a wonderful album and probably the most memorable in her career, I think I would suit anyone.

Jaci Velasquez was instrumental in making Christian music a little more accessible to a mainstream audience. Her talent is evident in this disc, where her performances are heartfelt and passionate. My favorite track isn "On my knees", a touching nod to the power of prayer in her life. Truly inspiring stuff. Buy this Cd so you can decide which track is your favorite. You'll have a lot of choices.

This cd was one of my favorites for a long time, and is still one that I pull out of the stacks for a "quick fix" of Jaci. Songs like "Un Lugar Celestial," "Shelter," "Baptize Me," and "Thief of Always," are ones that I spent many hours in my bedroom belting out, trying to sound like Jaci. Really, all of these songs are amazing. Truly a great cd.

This album is definately one of my favorites. I got it as a gift from my uncle a few years back, played it for the first time and was completely memorized by the power of her voice and music. I recomend this album to anyone who needs inspiration in their lives.

When Jaci Velasquez's first Cd camee out it came out at the right time. People were just waiting for a refeshing new sound of a beautiful young artist. Thought this album has some flaws,(Mainly the song We Can Make a Difference, which is annoying and boring), it is a great peice of work. It has great musical quality and it shows that Jaci's beautiful voice flows well with all the Latin Pop. This album is a great addition to your collection.

It is so awesome that a girl that is so young can sing like this. I am very surprised and awed at her voice. I love this cd.
