Skillet!

The very first Skillet song that I ever heard was "Locked in a Cage" from "Hey You, I Love Your Soul." Since then, I've been hooked! I still think that the song is one of their best. The driving beats and the rockin' chorus are just killer.
Secondly, who doesn't want an album called "Hey You, I Love Your Soul?" How awesome is that?! Skillet combines great lyrics with edgy guitars and vocals. It doesn't get much better!

Techno Tempo Takes Over

Hey, You, I Love Your Soul was the very first Christian rock CD I ever bought, so there is a bit of nostalgia residing with any critiques that are given of it. This marked Skillet's surprising move into more of a techno-rock direction. This doesn't mean that the hard hitting rock of their self-titled debut is gone, though. Tracks like "Scarecrow" and "Locked in a Cage" bring the same sound as the first album, albeit with some synthesizer mixed in the background. Techno's not my thing, but still a good, solid album.

The first Skillet CD I've owned! The title track and "Locked In A Cage" are some classics of theirs. Cool songs.

I heard "Hey You, I Love Your Soul" for my first song from them ever LIVE! They totally got me hooked and I bought their cd right after. They sound even better live! John Cooper is SUCH a great writer that he writes all the GREAT songs for them and always focus' on God. It's one of their greatest albums that they've had and how could you not have this cd? It's GREAT!
