Is this the same Seven Day Jesus? The band sounds radically different from their self-titled endeavor, with heavier guitars, mellower vocals, and a slightly more depressing sound (listen to "Forgive You"). But all of these elements combined give "The Hunger" something their self-titled release never had: an absolutely unique imprint. I have never heard another CD like this one... experimental, almost, but amazing regardless of how you look at it.

This CD sounds different from the self-titled album for several reasons. Here are two:
1. It was released before the self-titled album. The Hunger is Seven Day Jesus creating their art...
2. This CD sounds different because... it is unlike anything else that was out at the time. It was, and still is, a bright and shining example of rock artistry. Call it ahead of its time, call it inspired, call it what you will, just get the CD before all available copies are gone!
