In the wake of a new era in music, there emerged enough contestants in the power-pop-punk sweepstakes that standing out in the crowd required an excess of talent. As displayed on LET IT HAPPEN, MxPx has enough hook-heavy songwriting prowess, instrumental facility and street credibility to rise to the top of the aforementioned heap. Though the sound is defined by crashing power chords, jackhammer beats and purposefully snotty vocals, there's enough variety to the tunes here to keep things from ever getting too monochromatic.

This CD is awesome. I love how many songs there are on it; great value!! I like being able to listen to something you can head bang to, but have positive Christian lyrics. I love Chick Magnet!

Okay, for anyone unfamiliar with MxPx's history with its first record label, this album was released without MxPx's permission. There are some great songs on here but MxPx never wanted this collection released. That being said, I would still recommend picking the album up because it gives you a glimpse into the songs MxPx didn't put on their main releases. They're some gems in here too.

A classic

This is a great CD if you have recently heard about MxPx but aren't familiar with their old songs because their old songs are what are classic. As a Christian Punkrock band and this CD coming out almost six years ago, it is still great to listen to because there is humor and emotion in the lyrics and they're musical talent was awesome even back then.
